CAA Conference Tournament Preview and Predictions

The CAA Conference tournament begins on Friday March 8th. All games are at the Entertainment and Sports arena in Washington, DC. The championship will be at 7 PM on Tuesday, March 12th.

Here are some teams to watch in this tournament:

#1 Charleston : Charleston has won 8 straight games to close the season and will look to win the CAA tournament for the second consecutive season. They have a strong offense with a number of key contributors and can beat you in a variety of ways. They won the regular season title by two games. Going 15-3 in conference and are the favorite to capture the tournament crown. 

#3 Hofstra : Hofstra is my pick to win this tournament. They are a well balanced team and have been playing their best ball as of late, going 8-2 in its last 10 games of the season. They are an experienced team and since February 1st, they have the conference’s #3 offense and #1 defense. In a competitive conference, I like the path they have to the championship and believe they have the talent to play themselves into the NCAA Tournament

#4 UNC Wilmington : UNC Wilmington has a very strong offense that rarely turns the ball over. They upset Kentucky back in December and have played their best basketball against their top opponents, highlighted by going 2-0 against Charleston and handing them 2 of their 3 conference losses.
